VENUE AND TIMES

The School is scheduled for June 12-16, 2023.  Classes begin at 8:30 a.m. each day and end at 4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and at noon on Friday.  There will be a reception Monday evening immediately following class.  All classes are held in The Platform Conference Center, 320 South Canal, 3rd Floor Chicago, IL 60607. 

320 South Canal is located at the intersection of Canal Street and Jackson Boulevard. Connected to Union Station via pedway, 320 offers a direct link to the Metra train concourse, Amtrak trains ,and Loop Link CTA bus lines at the Union Station Transit Center, a convenience for train commuters.

LODGING

A block of rooms at the Union League Club of Chicago, 65 W. Jackson Blvd. has been reserved for the period of June 11-16, 2023 for the School participants at the discounted rate of $239 per room + 20% per night surcharge. Make your reservations by May 15, 2023 to be guaranteed a room at the discounted rate. Call 800-443-0578 or 312-427-7800 or email clubservices@ulcc.org. Be sure to mention the TBS room block. NOTE: The Union League Club of Chicago does enforce a business casual dress code.

If you prefer a hotel without a dress code, you can contact the Crowne Plaza Chicago Metro Downtown, 25 South Halsted Street at 800-227-6963. You can either use this booking link Transmission Business School or call the reservation department at 1-800-972-2494. The cut-off date is May 12, 2023 and the rate is $269 per night plus taxes.

ENROLLMENT AND FEES

The School fees are $3,699 per person. The class size is limited to provide an appropriate learning environment. Enrollment is confirmed upon the receipt of the payment in full.

The School provides a limited number of scholarships for regulatory agency employees at both the federal and the state government levels. The online application is at www.illinoiseminars.com/scholarships.php  Groups of three or more people registering at the same time from the same company are eligible for a group discount.

Cancellations received up to 15 days prior to the start of the School are refunded in full, less an administrative fee of $600. Thereafter, no refunds can be made; however, substitutions may be made at any time.

CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS

The School attendees earn 3.2 continuing education units (CEUs) or 32 general continuing legal education (CLE) hours, or 32 continuing professional education (CPE) hours; however, units vary from one state to another.

DIGITAL EQUIPMENT REQUIRED

Please bring a laptop or tablet computer as the School materials are provided only in digital form. Each seat is equipped with electric outlet to plug in your digital device.
